A Day in the Life of a Porter Hill Academy Student

1. Prepare for Class

Start your day by logging onto your computer or laptop a few minutes before your first class begins. Visit PorterAcademy.com and click the login button to access your personalized dashboard.

Your dashboard contains your daily schedule, links to each of your live classes, and any important announcements. Everything you need to get started is conveniently located in one place.

2. Participate in Live Classes

A few minutes before your first class, click the link for that course to join the live online classroom. Classes are typically 40 minutes long and are designed to be engaging and interactive. You’ll be able to participate in discussions, ask questions, and collaborate with your teacher and classmates in real-time.

After each class ends, the teacher will close the session, and you’ll have a short break before your next class. Repeat the process by clicking the link for each subsequent class on your dashboard.

Your day typically includes 5-6 classes, with a longer break midway through to enjoy lunch, relax, or catch up on personal interests.

3. Explore Additional Learning Resources

Once your final class finishes in the early afternoon, you’ll have time to deepen your understanding of the day’s lessons. Use our accompanying online curriculum to complete practice activities, quizzes, and supplementary assignments that align with your live class instruction.

For extra support, each course offers a weekly live help session. You can join these optional sessions to receive one-on-one guidance or additional teaching from your instructor. Links and schedules for these help sessions are available on your dashboard.
